Personal Interests
Matt grew up in the Washington DC area (Gaithersburg, MD) and attended Virginia Tech.  He has been married to his wife, Cindi, for 16 years, and they have three boys together (who keep him young and occasionally beat him in chess).  Matt coaches soccer and ice hockey and enjoys tutoring kids.

"Something you should know about Virginia Tech...a hokie is a made-up word from a fight song.  It is not a turkey.

I build an ice rink in my backyard each winter.  It keeps winter from being too long.

Golf is my summer sport, but I don't play nearly enough.

I am involved in Leadership Stark County, the 22nd (and best) class.

I enjoy designing green buildings, and especially like the challenge of coming up with ways to make buildings as close to 'zero energy' as possible.  Innovate or die!....(in a business sense)."
