“I had an interest in Architecture from a young age. I grew up in a century farm home that my parents renovated over many years. There was a lot of problem solving, construction and design involved, that I unknowingly absorbed during those years.
My number one interest is my family. My wife and I live in Akron and have two young boys that have seemingly accelerated our lives. Watching them grow up and seeing those subtle changes that occur is amazing.
When I am able to carve out some time I play tennis and basketball. I really enjoy both and used to play in a number of leagues. Now, tennis is just for fun, and most of the basketball is in the driveway hoop with my boys.
I enjoy travel and have been able to travel to various places around the world during my time in the U.S. Navy. While in architecture school I lived in Italy for a semester and was able to revisit some countries and travel to new ones as well.
My love of older homes has evolved into my hobby. It is very satisfying to see an old, under-utilized structure gain new life. It is my eternal optimism that makes me see the possibilities in everything.”
