Project Description
Harris/Day served as both architect and construction manager, which ultimately saved the owner several months of construction time. The 30,894 sf fast track addition was designed for 60-beds that were divided into 15-bed "neighborhoods".
The new design of the space incorporated a more residential feel by creating separate dining rooms, eliminating long hallways (typically seen in skilled nursing facilities), scattering living rooms and parlors throughout, and "concealing" the nurses stations.
