Project Description
The New 21,000 sf, 12-Bed Hospice facility was designed to meet LEED "Silver" environmental design requirements. To start the project, a master plan was developed to locate the building on the Woodlawn campus and to organize client and staff access.
In order to provide a more home-like feel for patients and their families, Craftsman style building was utilized along with outdoor spaces and warm colors for promoting patient health and healing.
The facility includes a counseling center for children, teens, and adults, children’s playroom, and an inviting library for visitors. Each of the patient suites have a private bathroom, living space, kitchenette, and outdoor patio.
