Project Description
This structure was the last remaining schoolhouse in Jackson Township. The building was donated to the Jackson Historical Society, but had to be relocated about one mile away from its original site. Making sure to be fully ADA compliant, the renovations were based on historic photos and oral histories from students and teachers.
A full basement and rear addition were constructed to house ADA compliant restrooms, fire stairs, mechanical and electrical rooms, and storage for the organization’s archives.
