Project Description
Plans were developed to improve existing athletic facilities and provide for a new competition sports arena for the varsity basketball and volleyball teams. The improvements will provide more gymnasium space for both varsity and intramural sports, increase spectator capacity to 3,000, and bring the MVNU athletic facilities to a level comparable with other universities in their conference.
The renovations incorporate a new 2,700 sf wellness center for the general student population. Other imporvements include four varsity team locker rooms, a new athletic department office for coaches and their staff, and new classrooms/meeting rooms.
The new entrance lobby was designed to involve new eye-catching university graphics and signage for this 53,000 sf addition/renovation.
