Project Description
The 10,800 sf branch addition and renovations started with space-planning that included the reorganization of various departments to improve the functionality of the overall library. It was determined that the building would be redesigned and reoriented to provide a new main entrance.
Other areas that were improved upon included the creation of a new circulation desk and staff work areas, the renovated public restrooms, a 2,200 sf addition to the children’s department and young-adult area, and an expanded reference area and computer technology center.
This project was completed in five phases so that the library was able to remain operational during the entire construction schedule.
